At The King's School we are proud of the successes of both our school community as a whole and individuals within the school. We believe in celebrating and rewarding achievement and success. We believe that no goal is beyond possibility for our students and we encourage their aspirations and achievements in a variety of ways. Rewards and celebrations are key for us in emphasising the positive and ensuring excellent behaviour and effort.
Term 1
- Achievement points and value points - points will be added to student profiles for exceptional work, outstanding behaviour, and/or positively contributing to The King’s School community.
- Departmental postcards.
- Year Leader letters/postcards/phone calls.
- Rewards assembly - rewards and raffles will take place for students with great attendance, low behaviour points, and top achievement points. Any outstanding contribution to The King’s School community will also be recognised during this assembly.
Term 2
- Achievement points and value points - points will be added to student profiles for exceptional work, outstanding behaviour, and/or positively contributing to The King’s School community.

- Rewards assembly - rewards and raffles will take place for students with great attendance, low behaviour points, and top achievement points. Any outstanding contribution to The King’s School community will also be recognised during this assembly.
- Rewards event - students who meet a certain criteria will be invited to take part in a rewards event during the last week of term. This will be a school based activity. In the past we have held a ‘Christmas party and quiz’.
Term 3

- Headteacher certificates - 10 students will receive a certificate issued by Mr Pinto.
- Rewards assembly - rewards and raffles will take place for students with great attendance, low behaviour points and top achievement points. Any outstanding contribution to The King’s School community will also be recognised during this assembly.
Term 4

- Year 9 graduation ceremony - students in Year 9 will be invited to a graduation ceremony to celebrate their graduation from key stage three.
- Year 11 celebration day - students in Year 11 will be invited into school for an annual end of GCSE celebration day. This will end with a guard of honour to celebrate their success.
- Sports Day - students will be rewarded on sports day with a gift. In the past ice creams have been bought for all students.
- Rewards event - students who meet a certain criteria will be invited to take part in a rewards event during the last week of term.
- Rewards trip - students who meet a certain criteria will be invited to take part in a rewards trip. This will be an out of school based activity. In previous years, trips have been to Lightwater Valley, Flamingo Land and Alton Towers. Different year groups will attend different locations.
