At Pontefract Academies Trust, our aim is to develop strong literacy skills in every student. Through comprehensive strategies and training, we promote reading, writing, and oracy across all subjects.
Accelerated Reading
To promote reading for pleasure in Key Stage 3, students participate in the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program. As part of this program, students are encouraged to read books and complete short quizzes within 48 hours of completing each book.
